Mineable Coins

What is DAG Size ?

The DAG size debate started with the Ethereum. The Ethereum mining algorithm, Ethash, initially required a dataset of 1 GB, resulting in a DAG file size of 1 GB. However, this size increased with each epoch, causing some GPUs to become obsolete for mining Ethereum. Not all cryptocurrencies have the same DAG size, as they can be mined at different block heights. Mining algorithms like Etchash and KawPow use the Proof of Work system, which also requires a lot of memory. If the DAG file size exceeds the GPU's memory, it becomes obsolete for mining cryptocurrencies.
